 Chrom Location: N/A
 Clone: 23A3

 Isotype: IgG2a

 Light chain: kappa

 Immunogen: Recombinant protein encoding the excreted domain of human GCDFP-15.

 Antigen Species: Human

 Specificity: This antibody is specific to a 15 kD monomer protein called Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein 15 (GCDFP 15). Gross cystic disease of the breast is benign premenopausal disorder in which cysts are predominant. These cysts appear to be formed from excessive apocrine cystic secretions, one of which is GCDFP-15. This antibody can be used in for the staining of breast carcinoma, salivary duct carcinoma and apocrine epithelia.

 Target: GCDFP15

 Localization: employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by

 Storage Buffer: Preservative: Sodium Azide

 Application Note: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:15 to 1:25 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. High temperature antigen unmasking with 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is required prior to immunostaining. We suggest an incubation period of 60 minutes at room temperature.

Synonym Names for GCDFP15 antibody: GCDFP15; Gp17, GPIP4, Gross cystic disease fluid protein 15, PIP, Prolactin induced protein, Prolactin inducible protein precursor, SABP,; Mouse monoclonal [23A3] to GCDFP 15; 5304; PIP; 176720; P12273; GCDFP-15; GP17;; 5304; PIP; 176720; P12273; GCDFP-15; GP17;

Gross cystic disease is a common premenopausal disorder in which gross cysts are the predominant pathologic lesion. It is characterized by production of a fluid secretion which accumulates in the breast cysts.

Subunit: Monomer. Interacts with AZGP1.

Subcellular Location: Secreted (Probable).

Tissue Specificity: Expressed in pathological conditions of the mammary gland and in several exocrine tissues, such as the lacrimal, salivary, and sweat glands.

Induction: By prolactin and androgen; inhibited by estrogen.

Similarity: Belongs to the PIP family.

GCDFP15 [23A3] reacts with human - not yet tested in other species.
