GenWay Biotech supplies human recombinant proteins expressed from human cells (hcx). This protein is expressed from modified human 293 cells, which has the cellular machinery necessary to attach human post-translational modifications (PTMs) to itself. As such, this protein is different from its recombinant form expressed from other species. GenWay utilizes conventional chromatography purification techniques to purify the proteins. No tag-based affinity chromatography techniques are used for ligands. Each protein has purity greater than 95% by silver stain, with most proteins >97% pure.

B-CATENIN (CTNNB1) DEPHOSPHO ANTIBODY TARGET DESCRIPTION:
Synonym Names for b-Catenin (CTNNB1) Dephospho antibody: N/A; N/A

This antibody was designed to detect the active form of beta-Catenin as it recognizes the dephosphorylated form of the protein. Beta-catenin is part of the cadherin cell adhesion complex and central to the Wingless/Wnt signaling pathway, resulting in beta-catenin accumulation and transcriptional activation of specific target genes. In the absence of Wnt signaling, APC, beta-catenin, and axin are phosphorylated by GSK-3, leading to ubiquitination of beta-catenin and its degradation by the proteasome. Thus, at steady state in the absence of Wnt signaling, b-catenin is rapidly degraded in the cytoplasm. Nuclear levels of bcatenin are kept low by APC and axin interactions, both of which have a nuclear export activity that shuttles beta-catenin back to the cytoplasm.

b-Catenin (CTNNB1) Dephospho reacts with human, mouse.
