Host Animal: Rabbit
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 224–239 of Human Ajuba.
Protein Sequence: CQESRHSYPPALGSPG
Specificity: Ajuba
Specificity: Recognizes human Ajuba (also called JUB protein and ajuba homolog isoform 1). A BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with this protein from human, rat, dog, mouse and chimpanzee based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with Ajuba protein from homologues from other sources has not been determined.
Type of Product: Polyclonal Antibodies for Cancer Research
Concentration: 1.67mg/ml (OD280nm)
Preservatives: NaN3
Buffer: 0.02M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2
Applications Notes : Suitable for use in ELISA (1:20,000–1:80,000) and Western blot (1:500–1:2,500). Expect a band at approximately 57 kDa. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Warning: This product contains sodium azide, which has been classified as Xn (Harmful), in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0.1–1.0%. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing, flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains.
Source/Host: Rabbit
Purity/Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography
Clonality: Polyclonal
Format: Affinity Purified, Liquid
Storage: Upon receipt, store at -20 C. Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

| JUB ANTIBODY TARGET DESCRIPTION: |
Synonym Names for JUB antibody: JUB; Rabbit anti Ajuba; N/A; Protein ajuba
Rabbit anti Ajuba. Rabbit Antibody to Human Ajuba
Function: Components of cellular adhesives complexes. Contribute to cell fate determination and regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. Involved in the regulation of actin cytoskeleton dynamics and cell migration. Contributes to the linking and/or strengthening of epithelia cell-cell junctions in part by linking adhesive receptors to the actin cytoskeleton. May be involved in signal transduction from cell adhesion sites to the nucleus. Plays a important role in regulation of the kinase activity of AURKA/Aurora-A for mitotic commitment. Is also a component of the IL-1 signaling pathway modulating IL-1-induced NF-kappa-B activation by influencing the assembly and activity of the PRKCZ/SQSTM1/TRAF6 multiprotein signaling complex. Can functions as adapter molecules in the formation of large multiprotein complexes that form on DNA and that influence transcription.
Subunit: Interacts with AURKA/Aurora-A during mitosis and both proteins are phosphorylated as they form a complex. Interacts with CTNNA1/alpha-catenin and with F-actin. Interacts with LATS2 during mitosis and this complex regulates organization of the spindle apparatus through recruitment of gamma-tubulin to the centrosome. Interacts with GRB2 and PIP5K1A (By similarity). Forms a complex with SQSTM1, PRKCZ and TRAF6. Interacts with SLC1A2 (By similarity).
Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Cell membrane. Cell junction. Nucleus. Centrosome. Note=Shuttles between the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Localizes on centrosomes during G2-M phase. Preferentially co-localizes with cadherin-adhesive complexes at sites of cell-cell contacts.
Domain: LIM region interacts with CTNNA1. The preLIM region binds directly actin filaments.
Domain: LIM-2 and LIM-3 domains mediate the interaction with the N-terminal region of AURKA. The association between LATS2 and JUB required the second LIM domain of JUB.
Ptm: Phosphorylated by LATS2 during mitosis. Phosphorylated by AURKA.
Miscellaneous: 'Ajuba' means 'curiosity' in Urdu, an Indian dialect.
Similarity: Belongs to the zyxin/ajuba family.
Similarity: Contains 3 LIM zinc-binding domains.
OMIM: 609066; gene. [NCBI / EBI]
