 JUND ANTIBODY TARGET DESCRIPTION:
Synonym Names for JUND antibody: JUND; Jun D proto-oncogene; Transcription factor jun-D

JUND is a member of the JUN family. and a functional component of the AP1 transcription factor complex. JUND has been proposed to protect cells from p53-dependent senescence and apoptosis. Alternate translation initiation site usage results in the product

Function: Binds an AP-1 site and upon cotransfection stimulates the activity of a promoter that bears an AP-1 site.

Subunit: Binds DNA as a dimer (By similarity).

Subcellular Location: Nucleus.

Similarity: Belongs to the bZIP family. Jun subfamily.

Similarity: Contains 1 bZIP domain.

Summary: The protein encoded by this intronless gene is a member of the JUN family, and a functional component of the AP1 transcription factor complex. It has been proposed to protect cells from p53-dependent senescence and apoptosis. Alternate translation initiation site usage results in the production of different isoforms.

JUND (jun D proto-oncogene) reacts with human.

OMIM: 165162; gene. [NCBI / EBI]
