 Isotype: Specificity: ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN

 Clone: 1AT

 Immunogen: Purified human serum alpha-1-antitrypsin

Specificity Note: This product recognises human alpha-1 antitrypsin, a serine protease inhibitor synthesized by the liver. Hereditary deficiency of this protein is associated with pulmonary emphysema and with liver disease, due to the loss of inhibition of neutrophil elastase activity.

This antibody shows minimal reactivity with other serum proteins including alpha-1-antichymotrypsin.

Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein A

Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2

 Preservative Stabilisers:
0.09%Sodium Azide (NaN3)

Synonym Names for ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN antibody: N/A; MOUSE ANTI HUMAN ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN; Serine (or cysteine) proteinase inhibitor, clade A (alpha-1 antiproteinase, antitrypsin), member 1; N/A

Summary: Alpha-1-antitrypsin is a protease inhibitor, deficiency of which is associated with emphysema and liver disease. The protein is encoded by a gene (PI) located on the distal long arm of chromosome 14.[supplied by OMIM].

Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is secreted and is a serine protease inhibitor whose targets include elastase, plasmin, thrombin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and plasminogen activator. Defects in this gene can cause emphysema or liver disease. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq].

ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN reacts with human.

Precautions: ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN antibody is for in vitro research use only. Not for use in diagnostics or therapeutic procedures.

Important Notes: During shipment, small volumes of ALPHA 1 ANTITRYPSIN antibody vial. For products with volumes of 200 µL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap. Actual concentration, volume and quantity will be printed on the vial's label. Please refer to the vials label for this information.
