Immunogen: Peptide sequence C-EFTKKYGEKRPVD corresponding to the C-terminus of UBE2L3 (NP_003338).

Specificity Note: This product recognises human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 L3 (UBE2 L3) an 18 kDa member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UBE2 L3 Is involved in the ubiquitin-protein ligase E3A-induced ubiquitination of p53, c-Fos, and the NF-kB precursor p105. Additionally, UBE2 L3 also acts as a coactivator for steroid hormone receptors and is ubiquitously expressed, with highest expression in the testis.

Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to human UBE2L3 were raised by repeated immunisations of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Catalytic Activity: ATP + ubiquitin + protein lysine = AMP + diphosphate + protein N-ubiquityllysine.

Pathway: Protein modification; protein ubiquitination.

Subunit: Binds UBE3A, HEI10, CBL, ZAP70, RNF19A, RNF19B and RNF144B.

Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitous, with highest expression in testis.
