GRP PEPTIDE TARGET DESCRIPTION:
Synonym Names for GRP peptide:
GRP; GRP; Proventricular peptide; Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) (Proventricular peptide) [Contains: Neuromedin C (GRP-10)]; Gastrin-releasing peptide
Gastrin Releasing Peptide (GRP) is released by the post-ganglionic fibres of the vagus nerve which innervate the G cells of the stomach and stimulate them to release gastrin. GRP can directly stimulate pepsinogen release from chief cells by a specific GRP receptor that mobilizes intracellular calcium. Gastrin-releasing peptide has a prominent role as a tumour marker in the diagnosis of small-cell lung carcinoma.
Function:
GRP stimulates gastrin release as well as other gastrointestinal hormones.
Subcellular Location:
Secreted protein.
Similarity:
Belongs to the bombesin/neuromedin B/ranatensin family.
Gastrin Releasing Peptide Porcine reacts with porcine.
Products similar to GRP peptide:

HSP90B1 (heat shock protein 90kDa beta (Grp94). member 1), IgG
Procalcitonin [6F10], IgG

Precautions:
GRP peptide is for in vitro research use only. Not for use in diagnostics or therapeutic procedures.
Important Notes:
During shipment, small volumes of GRP peptide vial. For products with volumes of 200 µL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap. Actual concentration, volume and quantity will be printed on the vial's label. Please refer to the vials label for this information.
