Description

Description: Human Ataxin-3 (ATX3 or ATXN3), also known as Josephin (JOS), Machado-Joseph disease protein 1 (MJD1) or Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3), GenBank Accession No. NM_004993, amino-acids 2-362(end) with an N-terminal His-tag, MW=42.1 kDa, expressed in E. coli. Activity Assay: Reaction was performed in 50 mM Tris, pH 7.4, 1 mM DTT, 0.5 mM EDTA, and 500 nM Ub-AMC. Reaction was incubated at 37C for 15 min and fluorescent signal was measured at excitation of 340 nm, and emission at 460 nm. Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Stability: >6 months at -80°C. References: 1. do Carmo Costa, M., et al. (2010).
