Description

Sequence (One Letter Code): EQKLISEEDL

Sequence: {GLU} {GLN} {LYS} {LEU} {ILE} {SER} {GLU} {GLU} {ASP} {LEU}

Formula: C51H86N12O21

Solubility: Soluble in PBS. pH 7.0. The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.

c-Myc Peptide is a useful for displacement of c-Myc-tagged fusion proteins bound to anti-c-Myc antibodies in immunoassays. The successful inhibition of antibody binding by c-Myc Peptide demonstrates binding is specific. c-Myc Peptide participates in regulation of growth-related gene transcription.

The aa squence of c-Myc peptide corresponds to aa 410-419 of the C-terminal of human c-Myc. This peptide is for laboratory research use only.

Function: Participates in the regulation of gene transcription. Binds DNA both in a non-specific manner and also specifically to recognizes the core sequence 5\'-CAC[GA]TG-3\'. Seems to activate the transcription of growth-related genes (By similarity).

Similarity: Contains 1 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. [1] Bernstein,P.L., Herrick,D.J., Prokipcak,R.D. and Ross,J., et al.
