Related Product Names Rabbit anti Goat IgG (Fc); N/A Rabbit anti Goat IgG (Fc)IGHG1
Short Description Polyclonal Antibodies to Animal Immunoglobulins
Host Rabbit
Isotype IgG
Product Format Lyophilized 0.01M Sodium Phosphate, 0.25M Sodium Chloride (pH 7.6) containing 15 mg/ml BSA
Molecular Weight 36106
Datasheets / Downloads GWB-7BB68B Datasheet
Swiss Prot Number P01857
Purification Isolated from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads.
Specificity Based on Immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with the heavy chains on goat IgG but not with the light chains on most goat immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Has been tested by ELISA and/or solid phase adsorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with human serum proteins, but antibody may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species. Minimal cross-reaction to Human Serum Proteins.
Concentration 0.8 mg/ml
Applications IHC: 1:500~5000 (tissue sections)
ELISA/WB(chromogenic substrates): 1:5000~100000
WB(ECL substrates): 1:10000~200000
Note: Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and dry milk may contain IgG which reacts with anti-bovine IgG, anti-goat IgG, anti-horse IgG, and anti-sheep IgG antibodies. Therefore, use of BSA and/or dry milk to block or dilute these antibodies and/or your primary antibody may significantly increase background and/or reduce secondary antibody titer. For pre-blocking, a 4-5% normal serum from the same host species of the labeled secondary antibody is recommended.
Clonality Polyclonal
Preservative None (Use of sodium azide as a preservative will substantially inhibit the enzyme activity of horseradish peroxidase)
Stability One year from date of reconstitution
Reconstitution and Storage Reconstitute with 1 mL distilled water. Centrifuge product if it is not completely clear after standing for 1-2 hours at room temperature. To judge clarity, draw product into a pasteur pipette. Store lyophilized product at 2-8°C. After reconstitution, product is stable for several weeks at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use. For extended storage after reconstitution, add an equal volume of glycerol (ACS or better grade) for a final glycerol concentration of 50% followed by storage at -20°C, with or without aliquotting. Please note that the concentration of protein buffer salts will decrease to one-half of the original after the addition of glycerol. Alternatively, in the absence of glycerol, the product may be aliquotted and stored at -70°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
